Connecting people, practice, and progress in Audiology across the Pacific Northwest
Oregon and Washington Academies of Audiology have united to form NWAA
NWAA is the regional home for audiology in Oregon and Washington. We bring together clinicians, students, and partners to support access to hearing and balance care through education, connection, and advocacy.
Decisions about your audiology license and scope of practice are being made at the state level, often by people who are not clinicians. That has a direct impact on how you can practice and how your patients receive care.
Your scope of practice is defined by your state license, not federal law and not your national association.
Changes in hearing aid dispensing, insurance reimbursement, and other providers’ scopes of practice can all affect your day-to-day work. NWAA exists so audiology has a unified voice in Oregon and Washington. We rely on members and volunteers who are willing to stay informed, serve on committees, and speak up.
If you want a say in what happens to your license and your patients’ access to care, this is the time to get involved.
